However in my Winchester 94, 38-55, I use IMR 4895 over a 262 grain bullet with gas check.I plotted the sight settings for the various distances (200m, 300m, 385m and 500m) on a scatter chart and it was interesting that the 500m setting did not fit the same curve as the others - required less elevation than the curve would have predicted. 500m also required a very large left windage adjustment (8 minutes), whereas the adjustment for the other ranges was a minute or two.I know this is a Shiloh Sharps Forum and not just an overall Sharps Forum, but this could maybe be an idea for future Shiloh Sharps product expansion. The back end of the bar is held by an extension of the rear lock screw washer and the front is held in a hole drilled in the frame and secured by a screw hidden under the lock plate. Remington & Sons roll stamped barrel he had taken off of a Hepburn. Someone had previously bored it out to .50-90. It screwed right into a Rolling Block receiver like it was meant for it - the top of the barrel was actually straight up. The shank, of course, was way too short, but it was interesting.It is a Farmingdale, New York produced SHILOH Copy of the Civil War New Model 1863 3 band rifled musket. Similar in all respects to the Berdan Sharps except that it is .54. Has a 30" blued round barrel, with case-hardened components. Patch box on right side of stock. I've shot bullets from 300 grains to a bit over 6oo grains and all shot at least reasonably well with some shooting exceptionally well. It works in my Pedersoli Sharps, that has a .520" bore, but the Shiloh has a .532" bore. The Flees ringtail actually fits both the first and second driving bands into the bore in the Shiloh.
