The NP205 is not based off the T221, there were earlier New Process cases that were used simultaneous with the T221. Some of the short wheelbase guys like the T221 since they have a dropped rear output - it helps with driveshaft angles. I think the 208 will be fine for your needs but u will need to the adapter from the 700r4 to bolt it to your th350 since the np 203 uses a weird shape bolt up pattern vs the the 208 having a typical 6 bolt round pattern. Also if you're still running the slip yoke output np231 you'll have to address the rear driveshaft.. If you're running a CV driveshaft you'll have to change the rear output yoke and seal.
