The year is not in question. There is a paper in the box that reads "39A 2012 Limited Edition, 1 of 150" The serial number is MR12039AXXX. I'm assuming the serial number translates to: M=Marlin - R=Remington - 12=2012 - 39A - the last three numbers are the number of the 150 made?
