AT&T has used that information in the past to gauge interest, but even if you and all your new neighbors did so, there are no guarantees. AT&T is not currently greatly expanding their fiber coverage. Building a fiber network takes a lot of time. It requires laying all new fiber optic cable in the ground and on rare occasions on utility poles. One foot of fiber at time, just think how many miles of streets are in your city or just your neighborhood.
